Go Bronco's Go!

Hello friends and family,
Well its the end of the week and I thought I'd give you an update before I leave. This past week we had lectures on Relationships and it was a very good week. I think in today's society everyone should have these lectures. Besides lectures nothing was really new around here except I got to go to my first pro rugby game on Friday and it was pretty awesome. Me and 5 others got tickets for the game and went to see the Brisbane Broco's vs. the Melborne Storm. It was such a different game compared to football and it went by so quickly. Rugby here in Australia is just like NHL hockey over there except here it costs students only $18 compared to the piles of money you spend to watch hockey over there. So that was completely sweet. Afterwards we just went out around the city and had coffee. This week was pretty basic overall as we just had lectures and the usual daytime activities/chores. Today however, we were to go to Stradbroke Island except our bus was taken to Byron Bay by some of the other staff. So we were delayed and we will be leaving tomorrow instead. Stradbroke Island is a hour away from Brisbane and is one of the world's largest sand islands. So our Beach 2 Bush DTS will be there for the next week camping on the actual shore. We have "Survivor" activities planned everyday from 2-5 so I am a bit scared about what they may have us doing but it should be good. Our lectures will be on Church & Religions. After this week week we will be here in Brisbane again for another 2 weeks. Then we'll be saying goodbye to most of the Frontiers DTS as they will be starting on their outreach phase in either Africa, China, or India. The Frontiers have a longer portion of outreach as they do not get to go on the road all the time like the Beach 2 Bush DTS. After the 2 weeks we will be on another 3 week roadtrip to Airley Beach where we are planned to do a lot of evangelism and activities over there so that will be pretty exciting. I can't believe how fast time has flown, we have about 6 weeks as a whole base before we split up in our outreach teams and go. We are getting pretty excited for this though, our details will hopefully be known after this week to where and what we'll be doing. As right now we'll be going to Byron Bay for a week with their Backpacker DTS then go and take part in Affewan. Affewan is a week where we go and reach out to the Muslims that come to Australia for their winter holidays. So we'll be there with a lot of other teams and churches taking part in the week of evangelism directed towards them. The head of this event runs out of our YWAM base and his wife actually taught us on our school about Clear Conscience so we're pretty excited. AS for the rest of the time we have no idea as of yet. SO please pray for our leaders as they will be organizing this outreach and deciding all of the details in the next couple of weeks. Now, as always my pictures are on photobucket and my link is <= for the websites for my pictures if you want to check out and see some of the stuff happening here in Australia. I also have facebook that I check daily when I am on the base for communication. Well that's my update for this week, I hope you are all doing good back home!
Take care,
Daneille
